Let the Ryder Cup smack talk begin!!!!

Apparently when the Cup was scheduled to be hosted nine years ago, it was supposed to held in September. But then came the FedEx Cup and pushed the schedule back 2-3 weeks. I kept thinking this Cup should have been hosted in Spain being it is so late in the year. Personally, I don't like the Ryder Cup in October...it doesn't feel right, and millions will be missing their football games. Dump the FexEx Cup and place the focus back on the Ryder and Presidents Cup.

Finally, I'm sure we're all disappointed the 12 singles matches will be played tomorrow due to the weather delays. I'll record it, but there it will be impossible not to overhear who won...much less condense 6-hours into 1-hour. :(

Too funny, I saw Tiger chunk that chip and wondered if the 10,000 photographers snapping photos during his swing has a picture. I guess that do.

Anyway, there sure were a lot of classless fans on the course. It's one thing to cheer for your team, but it's quite another to wildly cheer when the other team hits a bad shot or heckle them. Heck, I'm still trying to figure out why some guy was yelling "Potato" after Stricker tee'd off...and the crowd was laughing.

Well I saw about 30-minutes worth earlier this morning. The crowd was fired-up and nobody screamed mashed potato. I just hope the US team came ready to play today - they will need to if they hope to erase Europe's big lead.

Want to know who wins?

Europe wins the Ryder cup 14 1/2 to 13 1/2. They held off a comeback attempt by the US.

So far I've stayed off all the sports and news sites/feeds and have managed to steer-clear from anyone discussing the Ryder Cup...to include reading these posts. Just another 2 1/2 hours and I'll be driving home to watch the recorded action.

WOW! I am impressed more with the comeback than Europe winning. I truly did not think they had enough in the tank.
I just finished watching it an hour ago. It was a great comeback effort, they US team dug a huge hole going 3-points down and starting the round by being down6 out of 7 matches.

Tiger and Phil both played well today and won their matches handily.

They are having "technical issues" according to Johnny Miller. Of course, another technical issue is that you have revived a 2-year old thread. I stopped posting Golf information here last year because there were only 2-3 others even remotely interested in golf, and people were only interested in golf threads involving Tiger Woods dropping trou, his interest in cocktail waitresses and port stars, and his other nocturnal activities. This really isn't a sports forum as much as it is a place for people to brag about their particular sports team. If it were...golf, boxing and MMA threads would receive hundreds of postings. They do not and it is not. You should go elsewhere if you wish to discuss golf.

What a choke job of epic proportions.

I love the format. But, let's be real 8 of the guys from Europe live and play in the US.

Ian Poulter was awesome all week, I'm sure he'll enjoy the victory in his house in Florida.

Steve stricker and Tiger Woods, not a good 3 days at all.

Woods and Stricker has been AWFUL in the Ryder Cup and ANY event that plays in the same format.
