Does anyone have a LCC with an outdoor antenna? What results do you have ? I was thinking it would be better than the tiny indoor antenna they give you. Thank you.

Whether the indoor antenna is adequate for you or not depends on the location of the towers that broadcast the channels you want to pick up. An outdoor antenna will get a stronger signal, but as it is a digital signal if you are picking it up with the indoor antenna without interruption there will be zero benefit to an outdoor antenna. A stronger signal won't give you better PQ, either you receive a perfect signal or get nothing.

Does the LLC amplify the signal. I already have an antenna with amp in attic. Works well with tv tuner.

It doesn't amplify beyond what all tuners do, no. Most people do not need an amplifier on their antenna, definitely not a built on one since 99% of them are worse than the cheapest $10 standalone preamp. If your stations are less than 50 miles away, you will get zero benefit from an amp and if your stations are less than 10 miles away it can sometimes make things worse.

True,
However, an outdoor in most cases will give you a better chance of getting the signal needed .... which is where alot of these indoor antennas fail.

Here are two very good online predictors of your Locations' ability to receive adequate Over the Air TV signals. Tvfool.com or Antennaweb.org.

Looks like my box does not recognize the LCC. Did 2 resets and a "clearmybox". LCC powered up and plugged into usb in back. Shows sat and antenna settings does zip code search and nada. I already know i can get 75 channels via tv tuner. Previously had AM-21 so maybe there is a conflict there.

The LCC only works with the Genie 1 (HR 44, HR 54). LCC will NOT work with all the other DirecTV receivers (HR21, H21, HR22, HR23, H23, HR24, H24, HR34) the AM-21 worked with.
