latest dish hardware ?

Thanks to all for the replies to my question about Dish vs. direct. I'm dropping ATT U-verse and I'll be signing up for Dish with HD and DVR in a few days but I don't want to ge stuck with last year's gear or hand-me-downs from a previous customer. What're the model numbers/capabilities of the latest equipment?

I'm in San Diego. And I may be keeping the ATT internet, that could be tricky if dish offers ATT as a package. Yes? no? Advice?

Hopper/Joey is latest and greatest. You don't have to bundle with anybody.

Hopper w/sling is dish's newest DVR. You must ask for it or you might get a regular Hopper, which is still a great DVR but not as fast and doesn't have built in sling technology or wifi.

Just to add to the previous posts, DISH does not do any more new bundles with ATT, so if you keep ATT the services will be billed separate.

Seeing DISH owns their equipment and they lease it to you even Hopper and Joey can be refurbished. There is no gaurantee that any customer will get brand new equipment.

As of right now Hopper with sling is your best bet for new equipment. Only a matter of time before they too are refurbs.
