Last & Next Movie Watched

Last: Furious 7

Finally got around to it. Typical, Good audio and video. Finally tied in Tokyo Drift.

Next: Might do the Hunger Games

Last: Spectre

Another one I finally got around to. Craig was one of my least favorite Bonds. Movie was OK. A little slow and dull in parts.

Yep, no need to mess with such things, and then after certain people on the movie lashed out at public opinion, I have not given it one ounce of my support in any way. Refuse to watch.

Watched Ghostbusters (2016) last night.

What a disaster of a movie! The cameo's from the surviving original cast members were mildly amusing, but honestly, I feel asleep towards the end, woke up as the credits were rolling, backed it up to the last part I recalled seeing...well that was 20 minutes before the credits started! So I watched the last 20 minutes and deleted it from my DVR.

I could go into all I didn't like, but that list is far longer than the list of what I did like. What did I like: far better CGI and the cameo's. Beyond that, honestly, not much...

Then you have spared me from agony. I recorded last night as well. Delete!

"Thor" was just an annoying character in it, we had just watched In the Heart of the Sea with him in it off one of the premiums, it wasn't bad...

They just reversed roles with Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Annie Potts (Janine), just like they reversed the gender roles of all the main characters between the original Ghostbusters and this "reboot".

I've seen reboots of movie series' before, and most of them have come off pretty well. Not this one. I wanted to like it, but found nothing in it that made me laugh. It was just a mess of a movie. The cameos were a nice touch, but not funny. Some movies just shouldn't be remade and Ghostbusters is one of them...

Enjoyed it a lot, great special FX. Don't forget to watch all the credits...

I just finished Interstellar. When that movie came out on Blu, I watched it 4 times in a row over a few days, it is probably one of my favorite movies over my lifetime. I also did not have the speakers I have now, and of course the OLED, so this time was even more of a treat. The Zimmer score is outstanding, and even though some scenes are mastered in a higher black, there are also scenes that make you go WOW on the OLED.

I also watched

Somehow I never saw it. For an older movie, on blu it looked great scaled to 2160p.

My new 15's def handled it better, but the large towers were screaming too. The part where they have to dock after the explosion is one of my favorite parts, the score is so loud.
