large multidirectional antenna

Can someone tell me the best large multidirectional antenna? My installer tells me that he uses a 172 element antenna and he is able to catch about 25 channels from as far as 120 miles away. Right now I have the stealth and can barely catch my 3 major networks which are only 12-13 miles away. I can only catch these if the coax is hooked directly to my tv. If I hook the coax to my HD (Voom) reciever i can only catch 2 of the channels and that is very sporadic. Thanks for your help.

www.antennaweb.org is a good site to configure an antenna. I don't know if it will show stations 120Miles away though.
