I think a lot of us already have GeoSat Pro LNBFs, so I think he meant that you don't need to buy a Maverick just for this.But why pay double the price.

Outernet is an effort to make a low cost device capable of one-way reception of selected internet content. Its in its third iteration. First it was KU band with a dish, then L-Band (no dish), and soon it will be KU band without a dish.
The idea is to make internet content available to isolated areas of the world that don't have it.
Personally, I am more interested in the tech part of it. But I have no desire for one-way internet.
