KNMD-DT, now off the air and moving over to ATSC 3.0

KNMD-DT, now off the air on rf ch. 8 remapped ch. 9.1.

Soon to be a true ATSC 3.0 station.

Is there a way to tell by looking at the analog screen to see what's ATSC 3.0's signal looks like and look different than ATSC 1.0's signal.

I do remember ATSC 1.0's has a soft white snow looks.

Also FM's signal on rf ch. 6 tends to have wavy lines on analog video screen.

Don’t they have to maintain their ATSC 1 signal for five years after they switch on ATSC 3?

Yes, on KNME-DT rf ch. 35 will stay as ATSC 1.0 and carrying KNMD-DT 2 PBS subchannels as on remapped ch 5.4 and 5.5.
