WLADIMIR KLITSCHKO VS. SULTAN IBRAGIMOV

The first heavyweight unification title fight since 1999 highlights a special evening of boxing-oriented programming when World Championship Boxing: Wladimir Klitschko vs. Sultan Ibragimov, Saturday, Feb. 23 (9:30 PM. ET/ 6:30 PM PT) from New York's Madison Square Garden. The fight will be available in HDTV, as well as closed-captioned for the hearing-impaired and presented in Spanish on HBO Latino.

Wladimir Klitschko (49-3, 44 KOs)
Sultan Ibragimov (22-0-1, 17 KOs)

Yup a disappointment for the first unification in so many years.... They actually fought in what 3-4 rounds, atleast the replay fight from last week was good.
 
This fight has been BORING! These two russians are tacticians, not brawlers. :)

You got that right. BORING!! But I think the fault is Klitschkos, his huge body and technique are not going to lead to many exciting fights. That and his fear of getting tired keep him from mixing it up. Whenever he has an opponent that he can just keep at the end of his jab its going to be a sleeper of a fight. Which is most of the time.
 
That special made the night for me! I didn't become a boxing fan until the mid to late 70's so Louis was way out of the picture by then and like the average new-comer to a sport, "history" began the moment I started caring for the sport. :) Now as an older fan, I find these historical looks at past greats to be fabulous!
