I've been doing my "happy dance" all day today. 
I was one of the few people who, from the instant that rumors surfaced that Jr. may be leaving the Mariners for Cincinnati that shouted NOOOOOOOOOOOO....... One man doesn't make a team! I did not dislike Griffey in the Reds, I just though the organization could have done soooooo much more with the payroll. I also thought Griffey caused a schizm in the team because of all the freaking money he was hoovering from the team. I can't fault Griffey, that is why I am not mad at him, but the Reds don't need 1 star. They need a TEAM!
The big Red Machine of the late 60's and 70's had a ton of no-names at first. They all became all stars as a team! The Reds need a TEAM!
