Just ordered VOOM in San Francisco

Hi everyone,

New here - I just ordered VOOM yesterday (June 30) - this forum has been a great bootstrap to understanding VOOM, the gotchas, etc.

Right now my install date is July 12th (wow, what a wait). :shocked

Is it pretty helpful to call into Installs and connect with the installer, etc?

I plan to post here after the install and let everyone know how it goes.

One piece of bad news: a while back NBS left SF and went down to San Jose. That puts its trasnmitters at least 45 miles away from me so I will not be getting NBC, it sounds like. Anyone else have any luck pulling in NBC in SF?

Will VOOM ever go the route like DISH and provide locals via Voom? Does dish allow you to get the HD of locals via dish?

welcome. make sure to get in touch with your installer and to follow up on your install date to make sure everything is in placed. Regarding your OTA, there still maybe a possibility that you can get NBC with an antenna that ranges more than 45 miles from your location. However, I do not know all the details of your location as there maybe other issues. Good luck and let us know how it goes.
