Just had my 1st 522 hd repair...

This morning I saw the repair hard drive screen for the 1st time on my stb. At the time, I was hoping it was installing the 2.36 fw, but I should've know better. :river I lost all of my timers & recorded programs, and I had to start from scratch & reinput them into a new schedule. Now, I'm going to have to use BT to download some episodes I hadn't watched yet.

I wonder if having 2.36 installed would've prevented the HD wipe?

Ya, same thing happened to me a little while ago for the first time. Hopefully it doen't mean the HD is failing.

See, this is why I wish you could replace the hard drives in Dish DVR's like you can with Directivo's. I really wish Dish would make it easier to do this.

This happened to me on Wednesday night on my 942.

After a reboot all was well.
