I don't know about you, but I have at least 60 different movie channels. I also have History and History International, National Geographic, Discovery, Ovation, and a lot of niche channels.

When I was growing up we had about 10 channels total. We have about 350 now. If you aren't satisifed with that, there are about 1000 more available on the internet.

How many do you need????

I think $35 + $5 for locals for a total of $40 is quite expensive for a basic package. I do not call Dish Famly a basic package. It is more of a "desperate" package for those that just can't afford anything on a very strict budget or those that dont watch much tv and might have a few stations in that package in which that is all that they watch. Out of all these channels there might be 6-10 stations that I watch the rest I overlook.
