Jon Kitna says- 10 wins or more

Lets be a little optimistic. The Lions added Calvin Johnson to there WR corp. The kid was outstanding with one of the worst college QB's ever in Reggie Ball.

Lions added Drew Stanton to back up Kitna or take over;)
RB include Tatum Bell, Kevin Jones and TJ Duckett
WR-Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson, Mike Furrey

Ok maybe I am being overly enthusiastic but I see playoffs this year:up

So, Kev,

Where are we going to get someone to block, that can actually block and pass protect ..... Barry Sanders couldn't even run behind there line and whoever is at QB has to have at least 3 sec. to throw, with a 3 step drop that is .... I wonder how good Peyton Manning would be behind the Lions offensive lines ???....

You may see the playoffs with their offense but wat about their D. That is what has really hurt them over the years.

Ok just stab me in the heart with reality...:(

I can hear the Mora screaming now "playoffs? did you say playoffs?"

Ok positives for the lions...the most important.

Weak division. Green Bay and Minny both suck.

But they just lost their best corner in Bly. Their D is suspect and thats why 8-8 seams to be a reach.

Then again who knows. St Louis came outta no where in early 2000, The aints came outta nowhere last year, my beloved pats came out of nowhere when they started their run.

So if youre a Lions fan keep the faith this could be the year. Its the NFL everyone has a shot.

Sure, thanks for throwing us Lions fans a bone there Boston Area DTV, we can't all have the Reloaded Pats for a team! :)

WOW, 27 responses! For better or worse the Lions (REBUILDING SINCE 1957!) seem to strike a nerve. For me it's like a knife in the back.
My prediction: As someboby else said earlier, in today's NFL you can go from last to first in a season, but not if you are the Lions. 10 wins? Maybe in a 30 game season. This year: 6-10. 8-8 and Detroit fans will throw a parade.

ya never know because i wonder how good da bears will be this season? i guess it depends on how good or bad t-rex plays. wonder if chris leak has a chance of making the team as an undrafted free agent?

I heard rumors of them looking at Donavan McNabb, now that would be a huge improvement for the Bears.

Why did they let thier BEST defensive player leave this year ?

That being Dre Bly ......

The D* keeps talking about these FAST LB's theyv'e drafted, when will they start playing, outside of Ernie Sims, the rest have been on the injured reserve for the better part of thier career ....
