I have a 2 hopper 2 joey setup, we've had some issues in the past but we've been getting along fine recently, my father went in his bedroom to start watching tv and it said his joey(master bedroom) is trying to connect with my hopper(game room). I've tried switching it so his joey connects to the other hopper(living room), and it refused to link up. I then checked to see if the other joey(bedroom 1) could connect to hopper(game room), and it connected fine, switched it back to the other hopper(living room). I then proceeded to unplug my hopper(game room) to try to get my fathers joey(master bedroom) to connect to the hopper(living room), it connected just fine but then continued to say 'trying to connect to hopper(living room)'

I am currently out of things to try to possibly get it to work without calling tech support.

Sorry if this is hard to understand or read, my first post.

what happens if you physically swap joeys? do the problems migrate to the other room or stay in the same room?

I didn't try this, after I got it to connect to the living room hopper and it still did not work, I plugged in the other hopper. After it was online and running I went in the bedroom and checked the joey, and it was programming something. I can't tell you exactly what the screen said as I didn't look at it long enough or pay attention to it. I just walked away and waited for it to finish. Once it was done it told me that the joey was not authorized and I needed to call dish network to get it authorized, which is weird since We've been able to watch tv on it perfectly fine for the last 2 weeks with no problems. I'm not sure if it magically gave itself a new receiver id or what? after the person on the phone took off the previous authorized ID #, and added this ID # it works fine so far.
