From what I've read, a two Hopper system will not be fully integrated until some future software update; meaning that for now the two Hoppers will operate as two seperate whole-house DVRs. Does this mean that each Joey will be "attached" to a specific Hopper and not be able to see the programming or tuners on the other Hopper at all? If so, will the customer be able to reassign Joeys between the Hoppers (i.e. attach it to Hopper #1 today and Hopper #2 tomorrow)? Could I hook two Joeys (one assigned to Hopper #1 and one assigned to Hopper #2) to a TV and switch between the HDMI ports?
Later, when the Hoppers are fully integrated, will any of the wiring (nodes, etc.) have to be changed or the Joeys reconfigured?
Thanks for any help in clarifying this. I am trying to figure out if I can live with some of the early-adopter limitations. (Sure wish I could keep one of the VIPs on the first DPP44 port to help with the transition.)
