Does anyone know what the connector is from the standard Joey power supply? In my RV I plan to velcro the Joey to the back of the TV, and if I can run my 22" LCD TV and Joey from a 12v cigarette socket I can eliminate two bulky power supplies and have a much cleaner configuration. Thanks all....

RV 12 volts can run from 11.5 to 14.5 volts and depending on if there is a motor starter, you can have a surge.

Those power bricks provide a level of protection from the voltage swings.

I hadn't considered that, but your point is very valid. The only motors in the trailer are the awning, a water pump, and two fans, but if I started the truck - who knows what would happen to the 12v bus. Hmmmm. Maybe I'll just deal with the tangle of wires.

If you research into computers in cars, there are 12 volt-to-12 volt power supplies that control voltage swings and have provisions for start surges. Maybe $60-$80

Hws doesn't turn on
