I have had the same problems with the jerky picture and on OTA the box loses time among a few other bugs.
I called E* last night and asked for a supervisor and proceeded to tell her after 6 years with E* I'm not happy with this new 811 and how are you going to make me happy ? She took down all the particulars and told me she would UPS out me a "NEW" 811 box in 3 to 5 days and see if it would fix the problem.
I'm positive its the software and not the mechanicals in the box. If you want E* to fix their trash call them up and demand them to send you a new box. If enough people did this maybe it push them to get off their hands and fix the problem rather than blowing you off when you call to report the problem.
80 dollars a month I expect pristine pictures not the garbage their force feeding me.
