Here
I did a search and found nothing so here goes.

I have recorded the Jeep Superstars events and decided to watch them last night. I keep getting a message that I don't have permission to watch them. Anyone have any idea what is going on? All of them I have recorded say the same thing.

What channel were they recorded from?

396 The ABC NY HD channel

396 The ABC NY HD channel
Do you get the DNS channels because you don't get locals in your area? I recorder the superstars competition on my local ABC station and I was able to watch it.

Yes. This is the first time that message has ever come up and I have tons of shows recorded from the NY HD channels.

It didn't record on the old MPEG2 station in the 80's by mistake? Are you able to watch 396 live right now? I don't have any other idea then to try a reset to see if that helps.

No it wasn't the 80's channel. I just set it a couple months ago when it started. I watch 396 all the time and record other stuff on there and watch it just fine.

I know they just shut off the MPEG2 DNS channels in the 80's, maybe some glitch while they were doing that change? As I said, you might try a reset.

Already done a reset more than once.

The D* website shows that Ashland, KY gets the "Charleston-Huntington WV" locals in SD. Is it possible they turned off your DNS access?

Nope, I am grandfathered in since I have had the NY locals since they started.

You probably already did this, but I thought I would post it since I happened to come across it.

If you get non-local networks and live in an area where DIRECTV now offers local channels:
You must decide whether to keep your DNS (non-local) networks or not. In accordance with the law, DIRECTV will automatically disconnect your non-local networks if we do not hear from you. Once these networks are removed you may not be able to add them back in the future. Link: http://www.directv.com/DTVAPP/global/contentPage.jsp?assetId=P2800010

I am still getting the channels and this program is the only one doing this.
