But don't you guys thinks ownership for NETS sat down with Williams and told them intentions? I mean all these assumptions that he might and he might not.. .but as mentioned...time will tell.
Word here is that contract was not discussed with Williams at all, since he is under contract through next year. Prokhorov is hoping Williams will attract another free agent here, and that will in turn entice Williams to re-sign with the Nets.
Of course it's all contingent on what the new CBA looks like as well.
