Many of us who have BUD (Big Ugly Dishes) for the C-Band satellites have those 10' dishes on our roofs. Bring it ON!

Big dish missing...
It's very annoying since we're about to get a tropical storm and a hurricane (at least the rains from them) here in the NYC area. It's annoying becuase I know, for the next 2 (or so) days I will be unable to watch Voom since anything more than a slight drizzle kills my signal.
I'd REALLY like to know when we might be able to expect the larger dish. I don't want to make a stink to get a larger dish only to have to go with the new dish.

VOOM installed a 30" dish this month on my roof. I told them they
could hold off until the larg oval dish came out since I thought it
was weeks away. The CSR told me I should get the 30" dish since there
is no timefram for the oval dish.
I just flew out of Tampa yesterday, and we were delayed about 25
minutes because the first band past over us. I grew up in South
Florida, but moved to Arizona when Andrew destroyed our house in the
early 90s. It got very eerie, when our dish flew off the roof and we
were out of television updates. I realize this hurricane is not as
powerful, but I wish you the best of luck and hope there is minimal
damage. Hope you don't loose electricity because not having A/C this
time of year would be challenging. ;-) Good Luck.

Larger dish...
Maybe I'll push for the 30" dish then. It's really annoying to not be able to watch tv everytime it rains.
I'm not worried about damaging winds here in NJ. We, typically, don't get them with hurricanes like this. I'm more worried about the rain and flooding. Let's hope we don't get it!
