I have a 522 DVR right now hooked up to my Component 1 cables. I have a HDMI cable and another component 2 cable slot on my TV. I found a HDTV receiver at Radio Shack for $89.00. If I were to run this HD receiver to either my HDMI or component 2 slots on my TV (and use an antenna), would I be able to watch my locals by going from Component Video 1 to Component Video 2 on my TV?
I know it sounds kinda crazy...but I don't want to shell out a bunch of money on a HD DVR...and we can't live without the DVR functionality. I want to watch my football in HD on the local channels...and this might be a great alternative to paying bocu bucks through Dish.
