Does anyone know if I can replace my 3 LNB SWM with the 5 LNB SWM without realigning the dish? Is there any benefit in doing this?

It could need a slight tweak, but it would likely be fine. Adding the 5 lnb gets more of the music channels and local sd if they are there in your area. There are a few other channels there, also.

which sonic channels are those???? i have the 3lnb swm. i'm not pointing at 119w. yet i can tune to the sonic tap channels.

This the one I have Ice. And 6x8

yeah you could upgrade if you wanted too....like I say it cleans up the wiring real nice when you go from 4 lines into the house to 1 and one cable to each DVR
