A lot of the references to RTN are now changed to RTV. They do still have the RTN logo and now a RTV logo.
RTV - The Retro Television Network
Also, anyone know when the Buffalo OTA will start up? The show WGRZ-DT Buffalo as an affiliate, but I do not get the channel yet? WGRZ-DT just started a new sports channel as a sub channel, but still no RTN.... or RTV yet.

Maybe it always was RTV...

Reference the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Retro_Television_Network"]Retro Television Network - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Retro_TV.png" class="image"><img alt="Retro TV.png" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/4/46/Retro_TV.png/200px-Retro_TV.png"@@AMEPARAM@@en/thumb/4/46/Retro_TV.png/200px-Retro_TV.png[/ame].

Or, perhaps RTV is for affiliates who won't carry it full time...

Maybe the VOIP pitchman can 'splain.

I'll just be glad when they have a signal that's easier to get. Most of us remember the 123w days. RTN or RTV...give us one that we can see. Blind:)

Is that "when" a hope so or do you have some info on an upcomming change?
Maybe Tony still has a line on the guy he talked with before/during the Equity breakup and can get an inside story on this poor choice of tp/sr for their mux. I dont recall who he said the guy ended up going with, but he still may have an industry insiders perspective on the subject.
I'm still of a mind it is a power issue, at least partly, at the uplink or one of the other uplinkers hogging the available sat output power by uplinking too strong of a signal. I see quite a variance in strength, from a locked signal @ 85-87 to a barely usable 67-70 at times. I've even seen LEO down around 70 when RTN is down as well and the rx would lock to it instead because the RTN signal was in the dirt.

I think you mean Gary Lee Robbins the host of RTN program "Unreliable Sources". Member "Gas" here on SatelliteGuys. He hasn't posted in months. The last time I saw him, he was on a TV commercial pitching for some internet phone device.

I didnt do a search for the post, but yeah, that sounds like the name of the guy Ice was talking about. I vaguely remember the thread, but it had something to do with the breakup, FTAers and I made a comment something to the effect that they prolly didnt even acknowledge our exsistance, much less care if we could see them or not, meaning FTAers pleas would likely fall on deaf ears. That's when T enlightened me and said there was one guy in/associated with the Equity organization that was savvy to FTA. Now that you mention it, I seem to recall a reference to him being a member on the board as well.

What can I say, old school 186 cpu with 640k of 500us mostly corrupted memory. I have to toss out the irrelevant data, got to keep room for the 'breathe in-breathe out' subroutine. That one seems to be a must............lol

yep Gary Lee Robbins (Neal Ardman) is the one who worked at Equity. Spoke to him a couple times on the phone. Found out the whole stage name tidbit when I left a vm for him ;)

He then went to Luken when the whole Equity/RTN split up happened. He's the advertising guy

Interesting, I see WMYT-DT Charlotte is on the map also. Note that some have sub-channel information, I assume they are the ones currently on the air and the rest are in process to go live whenever...

hmmmm...I wonder how much my RTN Beau bobble head and my autographed Gary Lee Robins photo is worth now? I'm not parting with the Wii we won though.
