Have seen a number of used Tivo units for sale on ebay. The sellers claim that the paid up membership can be transferred. Has anyone done this? Would appreciate any input and/or experiences on attempting to do this.

transferable to a person not to other boxes (except when they have those deals).. I still have a tivo with lifetime.. not that I ever use it anymore.. 
though if I wanted another box the second fee was usually less for those with multiple boxes..dunno if they still do that?
