yes it does
I don't want to change the topic and get this thread closed. They do have a right to close it and limit what we can say.

To clarify, no it does not. This is a private forum and they have the right to limit anything anyone can say for what ever reason they want. That is their first amendment right. The First Amendment limits government censorship of free speech (specifically the Federal government). After the passage of the 17th Amendment state governments also have to abide as well. Since this is not the government, they can censor you if they feel like it.

ETA: Even in public your speech rights are limited as well. You cannot go into a public place and yell fire. You cannot go onto a plane and yell bomb.

The first amendment only guarantees protection against the government in all of it's forms. So unless Scott is part of the CIA, you aren't protected on this forum.

The First Amendment:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."

so why does the FCC exist then? Aren't they a government agency?
IMO they shouldn't. Like many things, the FCC is just another example of the government overstepping its Constitutional restrictions. Even though they do exists, that has nothing to do with you being censored on a private forum.

Um whats the 17th Amendment have to do with Freedom of Speech? According to my research it has to do with rights of Senators:

"The Senate of the United States shall be composed of two Senators from each State, elected by the people thereof, for six years; and each Senator shall have one vote. The electors in each State shall have the qualifications requisite for electors of the most numerous branch of the State legislatures. When vacancies happen in the representation of any State in the Senate, the executive authority of each State shall issue [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Writ_of_election"]Writ of election - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] to fill such vacancies: Provided, That the legislature of any State may empower the executive thereof to make temporary appointments until the people fill the vacancies by election as the legislature may direct.
This amendment shall not be so construed as to affect the election or term of any Senator chosen before it becomes valid as part of the Constitution."

I meant 14th. Damn fingers :D

[ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Incorporation_%28Bill_of_Rights[/ame]

For some reason the closing parenthesis does not transfer over when you click on the link. So add a ) to the end of the address in the URL and it will get you to the right page.

14th does really say anything about speech either.
I never said it did directly. Read my original post. It has to do with Incorporation.

I don't trust "Satracer". He never backs up his claims with RELIABLE PUBLISHED SOURCES. Everyone just takes his word for it like he's some kind of prophet.
His claims are backed up by the fact that he is correct almost 100% of the time. That is better than any other source. He is the reliable source. He works for Direct. Can't get anymore reliable than Direct itself???

Well if his claims are true why don't they ever put out press releases to back them up? Being a system installer doesn't make him credible. I want real transparency from my provider, not some so-called "inside source".

Direct seldom puts out a press release. The didn't put one out of CCHD. What does that have to do with the fact that he is right almost all of the time?
