I bet it's simulcast on Root sports Network.Astros are on MLB Network tonight..........blacked out in Houston. We can't even watch them when they're on national TV.
on MLB EI? You shouldI wonder if I "move" to Philadelphia dma, if that would qualify me to get Mets or Yankees ?
Nope. I live north of Phila and if you drew a circle for the Yankees, Mets, and Phillies DMA's you'd see they all overlap. Since Comcast controls all Phillies telecasts I haven't seen a game since channel 17 was pushed out a couple of years ago. If the Yankees or Mets are on ESPN, for instance, it's always blacked out on Dish for me. What it amounts to is I've been frozen out of enjoying MLB on TV. The blackout rule was designed to protect home field attendance, It was never intended to protect cable telecasts. One more example of how the industry twists the rules and the FCC turns it's back.I wonder if I "move" to Philadelphia dma, if that would qualify me to get Mets or Yankees ?

The point wasn't there to cause a pissing match. It was there to show that all providers have some desired channels that others do not. It is not specific to Dish, DTV, ATT, Comcast or any other single provider.I don't think you really want to go there.
I can think of 4 right off the bat, that dish doesn't carry in Pro sports..
Let's not turn this thread into a battle about RSNs per provider.

But, Philadelphia DMA, has no RSN from NY on Directv either.Nope. I live north of Phila and if you drew a circle for the Yankees, Mets, and Phillies DMA's you'd see they all overlap. So that tells me that an out of market sports package would work.
MLB TV has a zip code input for blackouts.
That should tell all.
According to this, My "Moved" adress should only be the Phillies.
MLB EI I'm sure has the same rules no?
That zip is in the Scranton/Wilkes Barre market which can get more than one team. Run a zip in the Philly DMA and see what you getRead it and weep.
Read it and weep.Read it and weep.
Funny thing about that is even though we get 4 teams in the OK(Houston Astros not on Dish or COX or Suddenlink) market the RSN fee on DirecTv is still $0 even after the recent increases....Now if DTV can offer 4 different teams to 1 market and not have to charge a RSN fee im interested to see how much these LA NY teams are charging just for their teams....Greed is winning clearly.Astros claim Texas Oklahoma Arkansas and Louisiana. We already have FSN OK SW and MW. Don't need another. Before long Dish will follow Directv and start charging RSN fees for all these areas with multiple RSN's.

Um , that's the DMA market map.It illustrates the idiocy of relying on zip codes. The assumption is made that hey, it's Carbon County so it's the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre market, except it isn't. I live at the Lehigh/Carbon county line. Nobody, and I mean absolutely nobody around here has anything to do with SWB. This area is considered part of the Lehigh Valley which market wise is considered part of the Philadelphia market. All of the Carbon County statistics (economics, population, employment, etc) are included in the ABE (Allentown-Bethlehem-Easton) area statistics, not SWB. Now, putting all of that aside the real true indicator of the absurdity of it all is the fact that Pittsburgh is included. From where I live to Pittsburgh is 286 miles, it's an almost 5 hour drive. No one is ever going to convince me that me being blacked out for Pirates games makes any sense what-so-ever.
One more thing, unless you live where I live you have no basis for determining what market I'm in. I would not presume to tell you what actual market you are in and you haven't the local knowledge to tell me.
Look what I found Jeep Guy.
Slatington Pa, is Philadelphia market.
Not Lehighton.
