Is Dish crazy...162.48 per month?

I have a 922 which controls my two televisions and my bill is $80 per month and I am thinking this is too much, because most of the time I watch Netflix or OTA. I sure would not pay that much and a $10 credit would not be enough for me.

If you do your research and math, Dish and Directv are with in few dollars of each other. Stay on top of your promotions ( when they end) and adjust to what's in your budget!!

I don't know how you can say the pricing is crazy. You are subscribing to almost everything Dish offers so I don't know what you expect. I use to have a bill similar to yours but I decided it wasn't worth keeping the movie channels so I dropped down to the Top 250 and saved $45 a month. All you have to do is record a bunch of movies from those channels and then cancel, that way you'll still have movies to watch when the channels are gone.

You you went with the Genie and the same level of programming I'm guessing you'll be spending more money once the credits are over.

To the OP, look at your viewing habits. What channels are your watching? Do you watch all the Premiums? Can you get by with fewer channels? If you want everything, you have to pay for it.

Must have AEP + the porn or something
My bill was higher than that and there was no porn. Had AEP,BB,Superstations,2-612 receivers,1-722 receiver and service contract. Bill was around $175.00. Now dropped back to 250 package. We do not miss the premium channels at all.

As I see it , its a matter of personal choice and what you can afford.

This is what I have and after tax I pay about 160. I'm getting a lot if programming so I'm not complaining.

You can shave off $7/Mo if you remove the protection plan. You can just re-add it during the same call/chat if you need a tech visit. Then keep it for 120 days to avoid a $25 fee for removal.

And I thought the $23 in fees was crazy from Directv $10 DVR $10 HD $3 Whole Home I've been a Directv for 5 years but newer customers get the added $2 for WH, but $24 for DVR+Hopper alone, but looking at it it's similar, TV price is going and continue to be out of control, luckily I'm getting $20 credit for 12 months, so I'm paying $90.81. Mas Ultra Spanish Package 67.99 $18 Additional TV's $3 Whole Home Service Fee $1.82 Sports Fee
Credit $10 DVR. $10 HD. $6 Additional TV.

That extra Hopper fee is for the second Hopper.

I saw one of my customer's accounts yesterday and it was $198. She has three 722k receivers and a 612 along with the Everything Pack.
