Finally got to see the trailer, thanks for the link.
The origin has been modernized while appearing to remain mostly faithful to the original, unlike say FF and especially the Phoenix. Not sure I like the new armor (haven't read since around #300). Ever since McFarlane added rich detail to his artwork, other artists have responded to the challenge by making their art more -- no, make that less -- what the characters should look like. But I've missed many years of storyline, so maybe I would have come along with the changes and not be shocked as I was when I recently picked up an issue.
Definitely looking forward to seeing the whole movie.
