Intermittent Freezing

Recently upgraded from an Hr24 and 2 h25s to a HR54 and 2 minis. Since the install I notice on all 3 that ill be watching a channel and it will freeze in place. Sometimes for 10 seconds sometimes a minute. No error code or nothing. Then it will be good for a bit and happen again. It corrects itself. Sometimes I change channels and it will be ok right when I do that. But eventually will happen again. Never had this issue with the previous receivers

Check your Swim Splitter connections are tight as well as the rg6 connections on each receiver.

What are the model numbers of your HR54 and the two minis?

This typically places the problem somewhere between the Genie itself and the antenna. If the Genie isn't complaining about signal loss, I'd guess that the problem is with the Genie.

My bad it's actually a hr44-700 and the minis are 41s -700

I thought so. Check your phone connections to the HR44. For your internet issue you can either Reconfigure Connection or you can Repeat Internet Setup.

update. I noticed that for some reason the wiring was backwards. My dish wire was going into the top port of my Splitter and then and then from the "signal to IRD" was going to the genie. Then 1 output of the Splitter to the "power to swim" and 2 other outs from Splitter to the clients. I'm surprised I was getting any communication at all let alone just intermittent freezing. I've made the swap and will see what happens

IRD is short for Integrated Receiver Decoder (satellite receiver).
ODU is short for OutDoor Unit (the antenna assembly).

I'd avoid changing things around before you fully understand what's what.
