Intelsat 8

Hi! I'm new in FTA and need some help to setup my dish. My location is 34deg lat and -117deg long, I have a dish 500 with dishpro plus twin lnb and a coolsat receiver. I want to point it to Intelsat 8. I used the sat calculator but not sure with the result. The azimuth = 100.62; elev = 49.82 and tilt= -4.84.


Can anybody help me confirm and little bit explain the result?

You won't get any Ku using a Dish 500, its too small and the LNBF is for DBS, not Ku. You will need at least a 30 inch dish with a standard or universal linear Ku LNBF to receive signals from IA-8 (or anything other than Echostar and Nimiq birds)...
