I just bought an new 33" dish, LNBF and receiver so I can watch BVN tv from the T-5 satallite. But I can't get it to work. As far as I know I installed everything as it is supposed to be done. I'm in Jacksonville Florida. Installed the dish at: Azimuth 207, Elevation 51. Correct cable and directly ground wired the dish. With my satfinder I'm getting a strong signal. But my tuner seems not to get the (right) signal. Low Signal Strenght and Low Signal Quality.

What I'm I doing wrong? Is there something in the settings of the tuner I need to change?

Tuner: Digiwave DG7000

LNB: Gigiwave, Standard KU LNBF, Digital Ready, DG 668, RF: 10.70 / 12.75GHz, IF: 950 / 2150MHz, LO 9.750/10.600GHz, Gain: 55dB, Noise Figure: 0.5 dB.

The channel I'm most interested in: BVN TV, 11929, V

Hey,GJGDB
You need to set your lnb type from univ to std. or standard. Also put your receiver on frequency 12152 then tune your dish from there.Peak to the highest quality possible.Let me know how it goes.

According to the specs he posted, that is a universal LNB. The fact that he has quality at all is a good sign ;). If you've got 40% signal now it should just be a matter of tweaking the dish. You probably need to skew the LNB (about 25° counter-clockwise) until your signal peaks.

This will probably get moved over to the FTA forum, but here's the sats & positions in case you want to look beyond IA-5  .

I don't know what happened in this world, but just this couple of months, I do have encountered sometime , problem to get satellite signal, I got strong signal showed at the meter, but nothing show at the receiver, no matter its universal or standard LNBF, I have to tune the LNBF from straight to the left or right to gain signal quality, this I have not done and no need to do it for a long long time.

And you may try setting other frequency with the whole TP is in the clear, like 11836V SR 20765 or 11966 H SR 22000, sometime you may get everything right, but your receiver is set at a scrambled or not work channel,
