Installing Avatar

To whom it may concerned in this forum

I just join this forum , But I can not find the right procedure to install my avatar under my name .
In other forums they provide Pre-defined standard Avatars that you can select one of the pre-defined images as your avatar .
But in your forum there is no pre-defined avatars . the only way to do it either by using URL of your own image or bring it from my computer .

I have many pictures and images in my computer But when , I try to bring them your forum reject my procedure by these messeges :-
1- the Avatar is too large and should be 100 x 100 pixels
2 - when I reduced the image to 100 x 100 pixel another message come and it says the uploaded file is not a valid GIF , JPG or PNG file please ensure that it is and try again . Could please guide to proper procedure
to install my avatar .

welcome. Is the image 100x 100 extension gif or jpg?

Did you use a photo editing software to crop your image down to 100x100? Also make sure the file size is small enough too.
