Well, being a certified installer I am attempting to install my own 5 LNB dish in about 20 mins. I havent received the offical training yet, but managed to get the DVD training disc. Will try to get some pics up as well as let you guys/gals know how i made out signal strength as well. Keep your fingers crossed and wish me luck. :D

Good luck - but I think you'll find that aiming that dish is very easy. I did mine with a cheapie inline meter and had it peaked out in just a few minutes.

you have to remember that only one of those extra orbital slots has a satellite in it.

That's why you're getting 0 on one of the LNBs.

Sat set-up says it only finds 4 Satellites not 5. But yet I'm receiving all my HD locals and regular locals as well as all other programming. Would I be correct in assuming that I nailed this puppy?

You can't get any of the sats in above 78 signal strength? Its been reported by many here that the H20 gives much lower signal strength readings than the H10.

yes, about 20% lower. using a signal meter i got 98% on 101 and in the H20 it says 77-78%

the bird dog meter always shows lower numbers, he probably has at least 88-89 inside., and the h20 does do that. you are correct.

when i install, i meter it first , then throw in an older hughes or rca just to look at each transponder. then i install the new IRD. just to be safe.

I second that. I just had a D11 installed on the same AT-9 as my H20, and I'm getting 75-80 on the H20, 93-98 on the D11.

I didnt touch that fine tuner nut....i used my meter, peaked the 101...then checked my 119, climbed down and went inside the house and had everything done as far as I know....i would advise trying to peak the dish with the fine elevation screw as I do have some issues with my HD locals cutting in and out, but THAT COULD be that I have it on a non pen roof mount...i will be going back up today to mess around again.
