Ok I called directv today cause I want to reroute my cables from out of the floor and put wall jacks in. They told me it would be $49.00 per room they also said that included fishing the cables in the wall and putting 3 wall jacks in plus all new cabling. Does this sound right are they allowed to cut holes in people's walls and put wall jacks in?

Of course they are allowed to cut holes in walls and place jacks. That is part of an installers job.

Sounds pretty cheap actually if they have to do the wall fish as well.

When I install I normally do the first wall fish free, 50 per any additional.
