I have a HWS in my bedroom & it's much quieter than the 722 that was previously there - Joey is no noise at all, but when I"m watching late at night the Joey forces an update/restart, & I can have the HWS recording in the background with no update message till later - so I switched them.

To access Pandora, just hit the blue button on the remote, which brings up a list of the available apps...then select Pandora. Once it opens, you can log in to your Pandora account and it will populate whatever stations you have created.
Be advised that is often takes a few days after the install before everything on the Hopper works properly, including apps like Pandora. Often times the apps won't work properly (if at all) immediately after the install.

Once you get your hopper installed, it may take a bit of time for the apps to install but once they are loaded, press the blue button on the remote you will see the pandora app, the log in to pandora as you normally would.
Be a bit patient
as it may take about 24 hours for everything to get fired up.......Then enjoy! It's a awesome system

hi my friends the installer just left and i tipped him 20 dollars to get something to it.he installed the hopper with sling and a joey even the apps are working too so i got pandora working immedatley.i stood out of the way for the most part i talked to him about satelliteguys and he is even going to join to.his name is rusty and he lives here in town he had four other jobs to do today.he told me that all the jobs that he has is now with the hopper he took my 722k away which i did not mind.oh i did not ask him about new hd channels if you want to know.so my brother bought by parents a hdtv for christmas and they just got it yesterday and my brother hooked up the blu-ray and dvd combo player to the tv while rusty was hooking up the joey to the tv.i talked to rusty and he too would like to see a tunein app to dish network list of apps.i thanked him a bunch of times and i appreciate his help very much and he told me no problem and he told dish would be calling us to take a survey over the phone and get him a 10 on everything.he was a nice guy to talk to.

I have had a Hopper then HWS in my bedroom for a year now and they are nuclear sub silent compared to the 747 engine in the VIP612 we had before that. I honestly have never heard the HWS make any noise. I would also miss the ability to use PIP and the Swap function at my TV.
I noticed that my HwSs are a little quieter than my H2ks. The HwSs are pretty much silent and the H2ks make a tad bit of noise you can hear in a completely silent room but the fans don't change speeds or anything so they wouldn't keep me awake in the least. Both models do "whir" up for a split second during the nightly reboots and/or power outages but not near loud enough to notice unless I was already awake.

Give it a few weeks to settle down, you may notice weird glitches but that is software related and they are always pushing software updates and changes. As for the survey yah be sure you press -0- to give a 10 on each question. Even a 9 will fail the guy which is total BS but that is how Dish works, and if should have any technical problems do NOT call dish in the next 12 days - he prob left a sticker or something with his local office number on it, call them instead to prevent a trouble call which will hurt him even more than a bad survey or what we call CSAT! The survey is random so you may not even get one but if you do be sure to take it and press 0 and remind anyone else in the house to be listening for it so they don't screw the guy not knowing what to do...happens all to often I install for the husband based on what he wants and the wife comes home not happy about something (not my fault at all) and gives a bad survey.
yea dish called the house and i pressed 0 after every question they asked me on the phone even the installer told me to give him a 10 and i did.i am enjoying watching the hopper with sling very much my parents do not know much about it still so i am teaching them very much.they need to add more music channels even i like to listen to pandora than i listen to siriusxm.and i am watching channel 103 to learn alot more.i wish they would add alot more music apps such as tunein app so you can listen to any radio station that streams all across the world.which apps would you like to see added to dish.

I have always given my installers 10s even if they didn't deserve it because I understand what it does to their pay. It would be nice if there were a way to give instructive performance feedback without having to take food off the guy's table.
