Install 622 Ahead of Service Call

Can I do this? My 622 is here but my appointment is Sat. Can I install and activate this unit or do I need to wait for them to come out. No additional dishes are needed.

I thought they would activate it if you agreed to cancel the install.

I will try..thanks. That is my whole point, I don't want to waste a half day waiting for a tech to show up just to activate the unit.

Well they activated the 622 the proceded to tell me with my 110/119 and 61.5 I cannot get Dish Bronze because I need Dish1000.

I told them that I can't even get the 129 from New Jersey and that the added channels and my HD locals are all on the 61.5.

They (advance tech) said that the computer is showing that I need a Dish 1000. If they cancel the install and add HD Bronze the computer will charge me for a Dish 1000 that I don't even have.

She said I need to let installer come out and put the Dish 1000 up even though I can never use the 129 and then they can do the package. This is a classic! So I have a 622 receiving the same programming my 921 did.

Just tell them you already have a dish 1000 installed.
Thats what I did back when Voom channels where first mirrored onto 129 to get Voom channels activated.
