Info on the Versus & Golf Channel hd channel

Hi, I send a question to the golf channel.com info on the new hd channel with versus, and I got a response today..
Thank you for contacting us, and per your inquiry, it's evident that you
appreciate how amazing it is to watch golf in high definition. Comcast
Corp., the parent company of both the GOLF CHANNEL and VERSUS (formerly
Outdoor Life Network), will launch a new high-definition channel in
early 2007 which will be shared by both networks. GOLF CHANNEL
programming on the new HD channel will begin Feb. 1 and showcase all the
action from the PGA TOUR in high definition. To find out if you will be
offered GOLF CHANNEL HD, check with your local cable or satellite
provider. So I thought I would share that with you all. :

This must mean that VS will not have hockey after Feb. 1st, golf runs Thursday thru Sunday, so hockey gets Monday to Wensday.... Hmm, so much for any VS playoff hockey.
Pretty poor for a station that is suppose to be the up and coming savior of hockey, rivaling ESPN, ya right .

IIRC, VS and Golf Channel are sharing the channel. It was something like Golf Channel HD from Noon to 7PM and all other times it will be Versus HD.

Also, The Golf Channel is only going to broadcast PGA Golf on Thursday's and Friday's, the networks will show Saturday's and Sunday's rounds

But golf happens in the daylight, and playoff hockey at night. I can't remember any golf tournaments running past 7 pm EST. Why don't you think they can coexist on a single channel?

I guess they will give it a try, probably saving money this way. Is the actual Golf Channel being turned off then ?

I see what your getting at about timeing.
Has anyone seen any info on if VS will be handling the playoffs, in HD we hope.
