Info on Primestar Dish/LNBF

I put together some info about Channel Master Primestar dishes and LNBFs. So many folks write to find out if this and that Primestar dish or LNBF would work.
I have researched throughout the web gathering whatever info I can. I put info that was said from other writers as well as mine.
I hope this will be a help.
I have a 1995 magazine somewhere that have a article about the beginning of Primestar and other satellite services. I will find it and post it soon. Great reading!

Eurosport, you got to have microsoft word. I used MS Word '97 to create this document. Hope this help.

Microsoft Word Viewer or even OpenOffice.org will do the same and cost nothing but bandwidth...

Yeah, openoffice.org is nice, free, and does the same things as microsoft office. I recommend it

My Microsoft WORD Document reader didn't handle the file very well.
So, the PDF was much more readable.
I have the OpenOffice loaded, but don't like to run it unless necessary.

But, regardless how ya slice it, it's nice info to have around. Thanks.

What do you mean 'do the pdf files'?

I know in openoffice you just click 'file' then there is a 'export as pdf' option. I'm not sure about M$ word. I try to stay away from microsoft :tux:

Yes goto:
Create PDF
Download and install "Pdf995 Printer Driver" followed by "Free Converter".
This is a free printer driver that looks like a printer, just choose to print to "PDF995" from your application. It will create an pdf and ask you where to save it. No watermarks or advertising on the converted document - but an advertisement pops up - if you want no ads then you can buy a "key" for $9.95. I put up with the ad.

Primestar Mounts For The SG2100 Motor

Ok, thanks to Wescopc, I got a way to pdf any info!
Here is a PDF on some of the Primestar brackets created by our posters! These brackets are designed to work on the SG2100 HH motor drives. I hope this post will be an inspiration....
In time I will create other PDFs (if it is ok with Iceberg since I am using pictures and ideas from other posters and other forums ).

PDFs from Open Office, too:

For other aspiring .PDF publishers, Open Office will output 'em as well.
It's been a while, but I don't recall any special needs.
Only catch is, it cannot read the .PDF back in for changes.
You have to save the document in a native format, then when you are ready to output the final copy for others, only then save as .PDF.

And it's all Free . -

Glad to inspire you, Glater. It is so easy to give up. Sometimes you have to step back for a little bit and tackle it again. Don't give up! :up
I may be adding another PDF on these Primestar dish and lnbs, depending on what I come with. I got so much time on my hands since my back surgery...
