Am I doing something wrong, as far as making PDF files? I downloaded and open the files I uploaded and have no problem. Gremlin, do you have the Adobe PDF software in your system?

I passed the file to Adobe reader 9.1.0, and it showed up fine.
Could it be a version problem?

Good work, by the way. - :up

Oh, if you bring up the reader, and ask for version info, it posts a red box with that info.
you -must- dismiss the red box before you can close Adobe.
clicking anywhere in the red is one way.

I can not open the last pdf file. Does anyone have the same problem.
The filename has an illegal ASCII character at the end, before the .pdf. Opera wont allow it either unless in the Save As dialog box I delete the last character of the filename (the one just before the .pdf)
May be more of a difference in OS than browser apps.
I suspect you guys w/o issues are running Pistoff. er...., I mean Vista. I am not, shall not and will not subject my blood pressure regulation to that GOS (garbage operating system) again.

Look like every browser and OS has it own thing as far as opening a PDF file. I start off creating the PDF files using MS Word '97. The Word is installed in my laptop that has Vista. Then I convert the file into PDF using the converter Wescopc told me about. I then uploaded the PDF to this forum.
Right now I am at my desk main computer that has XP Home Edition and went online to this thread and downloaded this PDF with no problem.
I use Internet Exployer 8 on both computers. Also I have Adobe 9 installed on both computers.

Yes I have adobe 6.0 I will try it again I hate to update adobe but I mite have to.

edit just tried to open again and it worked fine I was using chrome for my browser

Looking into this further, the offending character is ASCII <alt>0133 which is displayed as a series of three dots (periods) by most font selections.
Firefox does ignore that, but pre IE 6 and Opera apparently require a stricter ASCII compliance.
Windoze will even allow it to be saved with the unconventional character in the filename.
Anyway enough on that. Gremlin, select save as and delete the three dots after MOTO ( it will only mark as one character) and you should be able to save it to you hd.
MrFTAMan,
Excellent compilation and :up:up for above and beyond effort. I'm sure many will appreciate your efforts to gather all that data into one series of reference files. I know I will be referencing your work when I enlighten someone on what to look for when FTA Ku dish hunting.
Keep 'em comming!

Thank you! I really enjoy doing this. I am thinking of more subjects to cover that is FTA related.
I ain't no expert on FTA but I do alot of researching (Ask Iceberg ;)). I learn everyday about this hobby from guys such as Iceberg, Pro, BJ, Anole....
I thought maybe I can take this knowledge and compile it into a PDF for others to grasp it and go from there. :book:

Thank you guys who appreciate the efforts I am doing.
