Impertinent thoughts

He's got a point. Tebow's jersey is #1 in sales. Everyone knew he was a likeable person and he would be a hit in any fan base. If this was strictly about winning now and selecting an impact player, the Horses wouldn't have picked a 3rd string QB. Especially since they already had Orton and Quinn.
Not really. You don't draft a "likeable person" with an impact pick in the first round, especially when you have to trade other picks to get back in.

There is no way they thought Tebow would be third on the depth chart at this point. But, if somehow they did then it was one of the most stupid NFL draft picks ever.

Where has that been published? I'm not doubting you, but I haven't seen any official announcements.

I heard that back when the discussion about adding teams awhile back.
When Nebraska came aboard, then the started discussing the schedule, I will look to see if I can find anything, but it may have been on the BIG TEN network. It was around the same time that Barry Alvarez was talking about scheduling.

No, he doesn't. We did not draft a 3rd string QB. McDaniels knew he had a project on his hands, he just wanted to be the one to mold him in to a winner in the NFL. He is the future QB in Denver.

Didn't have to do with his "likeability" quotient with the fans. It was raw talent, and potential.

I don't know of you select "a project" in the 1st round...You expect any 1st round and early 2nd round...to start or make an immediate impact.

6. The blue field hurts my eyes. It just does.

LOVE the smurf turf. The E Washington one not so much. Saw it on TV when they opened it against Montana and they have to turn the hue down...way to bright red

You're just mad the Browns ripped the Broncos off. We shipped a backup QB (Brady Quinn) your way in exchange for an absolute stud RB (Peyton Hillis)

Nah, normally stud RB's are a dime a dozen ....

Of course Shanahan is gone now, so it may not hold true anymore :)
