I've decided. When the DirecTV HDPC20 is released to purchase, I'm switching from DISH to DirecTV - I have a powerful PC with Vista Home Premium, and I could use my Xbox 360 as my set-top box. I'd get two of them and then have a 4-tuner centralized DVR, which I can use from any TV in the house via media center extenders. Sweetness!

This should be splashed all over the front page. This announcement is the reason I have been refreshing engadget every 5 minutes for the last few days

If this is not totally destroyed by a bunch of DRM I will be seriously considering switching from from Dish as well. I agree that this should be front page news.

One commenter on Engadget says that rumor is the official announcement will come at 4:00 PM EST. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

I was getting ready to sign up with Dish.... But if this is real, and available fairly soon, I may just sign up with DirecTV instead.
