I live in Dayton, OH. Currently have a SuperDish for all my SD channels (including locals). If I were to want to go with the HD package, would I need a 2nd dish? And if so, how big is the 2nd dish compared to that of the SuperDish? Or, would it make more sense for me to wait for the new dish to come out later (this year?)?

I know only enough information about this to be dangerous...I don't know all the exact details.

TIA!

you luck out...Dayton OH is on both SD and 129. Dish is phasing out the SD for locals so if you upgrade to HD they should (key word is SHOULD) remove your Superdish and give you a Dish1000. D1000 is something like 24x22 (little bigger than a Dish500). Your SD is 36x22 so it will be smaller and only be one dish

(reason I say you luck out is if your locals werent on 129 you would need 2 dishes)

Thanks for the info, Iceberg. I might make the jump this summer (before football season).
