I do not think you are near IA-5. You must be off by 6 deg to West of 97. Pentagon is at 103 W (If my memory is not wrong). You will have to turn the dish to east by a little- less than 1/4". Keep moving slowly, about 1/10" at a time. Good luck!

sorry man i didn't mean it shoutting or what ever .
lnb is invacom should i put it universal and put 22k on .
what about tp shoul i use n=1 .
sorry i m new with this .

pantagone you sad it's 103 w .i think my TS is 146 correct my if im wrong .

According to PSB's chart above, the dish elevation needs to be at 47, not 50

for a transponder, there should be one that looks like
12177 freq
V polarity
23000 symbol rate

use that one

If you are using a compass you will have to adjust for magnetic deviation (could be why your off), I don't have the numbers for your area but I'm sure someone on here could tell you how many degrees to add or subtract if you are using a compass.

i have Invacom SNH-031/Winegard 76cm (31inch) Dish
may be you right i think my symbol rate was 22.000 so today ill try to do this 23000.
i wanna know the 22k should be always off ?
what pid scan ?
manuel scan is it only for tp?
blind scan for channel?
auto scan?
skew is it very important ?

since you have a Universal, set the receiver to Universal. The LNB LO frequency (LNB Power) should deafult to 9750/10600 and 22K should grey out or say auto

what pid scan ?
that allows you to manually enter everything. Don't worry about it

manuel scan is it only for tp?
correct

blind scan for channel?
blind scan finds all the frequencies from where the dish is pointed. Thats how you found Pentagon

auto scan?
scans the frequencies set up for that satellite (what's already programmed in the box)

skew is it very important ?
very important. Don't skew the LNB properly and you wont get signal

yes i m using compass but i don't know how to read my true south

Code:
Sat Name Sat Lng Az([B]T[/B]) Az([B]M[/B]) El Skew

SatMex 5 116.8W 182.4 169.4 51.9 2.0

Here is your true south satellite, with Magnetic (On compass) and True Azimuth.

Make sure you are not standing close to the dish or anything metalic as this will through your compass off!

iceberg thank you man .
ok what about tp should i change them each time or i stick with one ?
becoz i have this meter and each time i change the tp it go loud on most vertical and not loud on horizontal one .

leave it on the transponder I posted...much easier to work with

If you think you are close (and you are...move the dish 1/8" (if you draw a mark on the mast, go 1/8" to yhe right of there) and shuld be on IA5...try a blind scan then.

pbs the truth i been using my compas near the dish and bunch of tools today ill try to do it far way from any stuff .thank you .
