I eliminated the last 2 messages and edited mine. I don't want this to get way off topic (like it looked like it was heading)

lets keep it on topic people :)

StarBand is delighted to announce that Intelsat has confirmed restoration of service on a large segment of its IA-7 satellite. As of 2:00PM, StarBand is testing Cluster 050 and customers on this cluster have had their service restored. Service may be intermittent until testing is complete.

If testing goes as expected, service on Clusters 002 and 189 may be restored as early as Friday afternoon. Customers will be required to download and run a small file that will re-program their modem. Also, these customers will need to be re-assigned to new clusters. These new clusters will be completely tested within the next few hours. While testing is being conducted, StarBand will be creating new parameters for these customers. No physical re-pointing of the satellite dish will be required.

Only customers on these two clusters will need to re-program their modems using a software file that may be downloaded from Partner Place, StarBand.com or the Training Web site. This file will be available by Friday morning. It will be in the form of an downloadable file that will require no assistance from you.

StarBand will be providing dial-up Internet access for customers without a dial-up account of his or her own for the month of December. This will allow your customers to download the software as early as Friday.

Many of you had begun to transfer your small business accounts to AMC-4. Accounts transferred may remain on Cluster 4.

StarBand will be making every effort to communicate this exciting information to all customers as soon as possible. This communication will include:

E-mails fax blasts, and recorded messages
Updates on the StarBand.net website
Updates on Partner Place
We appreciate efforts on your part to communicate to your customers also.

With the return to business as usual (well almost), the migration plan off AMC-4 will be reinstated. StarBand will be in touch with you in the very near future about repointing any customers on AMC-4, Cluster 4 onto a new satellite.

New accounts may be created and installed effective immediately. The upgrade program has also been re-established. StarBand will resume normal shipment on Monday, December 6, 2004.

StarBand wished to thank you for your patience, commitment and loyalty to your customer and to StarBand. With your effort and ours we can turn this potential crisis into a shining moment for StarBand and its Dealers.
