I would like to use 2 LNBF bracket.

Here are my configuration that i use for 97W IA5 AKA Intelstar

Receiver: CW-600S CaptiveWork
Dish: FortecStar Dish (Model FC080CM)
LNBF: FortecStar Universal LNBF (Model FSKU-v)

http://www.emantechnology.com/lookangle.asp

Latitude: N 33.7034
Longitude: W 117.8157
Azimuth (True North) 145.6
Magnetic Deviation: 13.78
Elevation: 44.9
LNFB Polarization tilt -28
My Azimuth: 131.8
Transpoder setup: 12152/H/20000/3/4
Zip Code: 92606

I get 50 to 60% quality and signal strength is 100%

I would like to use 2 LNBF bracket for satellites for a stationary dish, I was able to locate this product at DMSIUSA: http://www.dmsiusa.com/2_lnbf_bracket.htm

Which FTA satellite can use if add another LNBF and use the above 2 LNBF bracket?

Thank You.

welcome :wave

you could aim at AMC4 (101W) for some programming or IA6 (93) for news feeds. I dont know har far off center you can be but you may only be limited to 6 to 8 degrees off your main satellite (which is IA5 in your case)

so some options would be
AMC4
IA6
G11 (not much there)

2 LNBF barcket intallation for a stationary dish

Thanks for your reply, :)

I am comparing the satellite charts that you had mentioned.

1. (Current Setting) Stationary dish

Look Angle for Intelsat Americas 5 (Telstar 5) at 97.0° W

Country United States Time Zone PST
City Irvine Latitude 33.7034° N
State/Province Code CA Longitude 117.8157° W
County Orange Azimuth (True North) 145.6°
Distance to Satellite 37420 (Km) Magnetic Deviation 13.78

Your Elevation = 44.9°
Polarization Tilt = -28°
Your Azimuth = 131.8°

2. Look Angle for GE 4 at 101.0° W

Country United States Time Zone PST
City Irvine Latitude 33.7034° N
State/Province Code CA Longitude 117.8157° W
County Orange Azimuth (True North) 151.4°
Distance to Satellite 37285 (Km) Magnetic Deviation 13.78

Your Elevation = 46.8°
Polarization Tilt = -23.4°
Your Azimuth = 137.6°

3. Look Angle for Intelsat Amaricas 6 at 93.0° W

Country United States Time Zone PST
City Irvine Latitude 33.7034° N
State/Province Code CA Longitude 117.8157° W
County Orange Azimuth (True North) 140.2°
Distance to Satellite 37581 (Km) Magnetic Deviation 13.78

Your Elevation = 42.6°
Polarization Tilt = -32.2°
Your Azimuth = 126.4°

With all of data above all I Need to adjust the 2 lnbf bracket a few degrees and hope to pick one of those satellites.

Any other recommendation is appreciated.

Thanks

Do you mean 6 to 8 degrees in the LNB

Do you mean 6 to 8 degrees in the LNB?

So if my LNB for 97W is -28 degrees, I need to add the new LNB 6 to 8 degrees left or right?

Thanks.

the -28 is your skew
97W is where you can get 6-8 degrees off.

If you are standing in front of the dish (facing the dish) you would put the LNB to the left if the 2nd satellite is farther east (G3 95, G11 91, IA8 89) and to the right if its farther west (AMC4 101)

CW-600S CaptiveWork transponder dumb question

Thank you for your previous replies, I have ordered the LNB and the holder.

I am new to FTA and with my Receiver CW-600S CaptiveWork, I have some new users (dumb) questions. If you have a url link to answer my questions, I appreciate it too.

Main Satellite = IA5 97W.

On the installation screen I see a the following table, I use the following numbers.

No Freq POL SR FEC TV RADIO
9 11966 H 22000 3/4 10 2

I get 67 - 71% quality, which is great. Transpoder setup: 11966/H/20000/3/4

I also see other numbers such as:

No Freq POL SR FEC TV RADIO
9 11898 V 22000 3/4 1 25

Can I mix using both or more settings of above to get more channels, or I can create Freq. range to combine channels from multiple frequencies.

Thank You

some transponders only have X amount of channels, while some will have more. Just the nature of FTA :)

Multiple Transponders to combine channels

Thank you for your reply,

Another Dumb question.

Can I add a new frequency range that would include more Freq. ranges to get more channels with CW-600S Captive works?
