I am not up on my tech talk for direcTv, as I am trying to help my father figure out a problem (and am not a subscriber myself). A few months back, I mounted an 18" round dish for him. I adjusted it and was in the high 90's on almost every transponder. A few weeks ago, he started getting some signal loss on some channels as well as the guide. I tried to retweak the dish, but I couldn't get rid of any of the zeros. These are his readings on Sat 101.
96 97 96 91 96 93 94 74
91 72 00 00 00 00 00 00
00 49 76 80 92 84 68 72
68 83 49 00 00 00 00 00
This was a brand new (old stock) dish and lnb. He does have some kind of unpowered splitter in the attic that he is using to send the signal from one of the outputs on the lnb to 8 different rooms in the house despite the fact that he is only using one (SD) receiver.
Does anyone have any idea what might have happened to this new install to suddenly get so many zeros?
Thanks.
