hi to every one,got my stuff hooked up yesterday, got everything set and positioned my dish to amc 1 got a signal and received the pentagon channel and a radio station, getting dark i was excited and said i would get some more channels tomorrow........today got started early went to moving my dish with a signal finder, getting weird readings and false signals,go in side and scan...nothing...did this all day back and forth..nothing...getting dark..just about to take a 5 pound hammer to the whole rig and a light comes on in my head...idiot,you never adjusted your skew after moving from amc 1...tomorrow i know i will be on track because i will always remember to adjust the skew...i'am learning every day guys thanks to you.:D

icu, it is much easier if you can take a small tv and your receiver out to the dish. 100' of power cord was one of the best investments I ever made, lol.

Been there, done that. I was on a friend's roof for over two hours scratching my head with his fixed dish install until I realized that I hadn't re-adjusted skew when moving from 97W to 123W (this was when all of the nice Equity stuff was on 123W)... After adjusting the skew, I found signal in less than a minute.

I wasn't a newbie either, we all have "Duh!" moments ;) ...
