Could you use the Fortec to kick the universal LNBF into the upper range ? Would that help ?
nope because the LNB LO is off by 150mhz...thats why :)

I have a little analog Chinese receiver that I think goes from 950 to 2000 something . Do not know about what he bought ?

Wyr
if it can go above 12200 for frequency then it might work :)

THANKS for the info! I am glad to know I can swap out and put the standard on and keep the univ on the other dish. I think my confusion comes from when I had a standard lnb and added a Dish lnb to the setup. THanks for reminding me!

Well, this receiver is BIG! I can't find a good place to put it :( SO, now what to do? I have not swapped out lnbs yet as I want to first see if I can fit the receiver somewhere. Maybe I will use it a trading material. Not sure if I am missing much on Ku analog.

larry, i understand big cause i have several analog receivers. you don't really have to locate it close to the tv ( just a place where the remote can see the receiver.)

I will keep looking - re arranging things :) I am not into sports, so hopefully I can find something to fiddle with :) Although, I am going to try to sneak a 6' dish in the yard, so if I do, I will at least be able to use it for c-band :)

All of the analog receivers I've owned had UHF remotes. Does this one have a little antenna on the back? if not, you can change it to uhf using one of those kits from wal-mart/radio shack/etc. Then the only thing that you need to have visible is the little IR receiver cone (or eye on the end of a wire, depending on the style you buy)

Larry - on the 6' dish, have you found one yet? I have seen a couple smaller mesh ones around town (one laying on the ground), that I can see if I can get a measurement, and possibly work a deal (hopefully free!) if you're really interested in getting a BUD

It is an rf remote. I keep biding on a 6" fortec from Sadoun, but I keep getting outbid. I should just pay the $135 they want for it :)

Well, I been playing around - I am clueless about how to set up the analog receiver. I put too much time into it. I think I will just post it for sale, as I don't ahve the patience for it :) Anyway want to buy it? I am sticking with digital signals :)

Go to Sadoun and buy that 6 foot dish. You will enjoy that C-band receiver when you have a bigger dish to play with.
