yep it will work for C-Band

There are a few analog feeds on 16,17,18,19

16 is Shepherd's Chapel
17,18,19 are wild feeds

Thanks! I keep bidding on 6 foot dishes....I am going to just have to buy one though. I am mainly after 99w - PR, etc. But the price was right on the cband receiver so what the heck! If I find I don't have space in the ent center for the receiver I will put it in the classified section. Might be fun to play with :)

get your priorities sorted out . . .

If I find I don't have space in the ent center for the receiver I will put it in the classified section.

Friend of mine was helping out some lady he knew.
She wanted a 32" LCD TV for the living room.
I said , "that's too small, get a bigger one. 32 is okay for bedrooms."

Seems she had an entertainment center that wouldn't take a bigger set.
Well, the answer was obvious to me! :eureka

I just heard back that she got a 42" set.
... and a new entertainment center...

I think she did too.
But, a 36" 4:3 set probably can't be replaced by a 32" 16:9 LCD, due to the width.
And even a 37" 16:9 won't have the picture height of a 36" 4:3 tube.
...and of course there's no chance that'd fit...

Larry,

Why not look into a HH180 motor (or another type)? If you are going to go Cband, why stop at one sat :) Even on the 4 footer, I get PR nets and all the analog feeds that Ice mentioned. I started at that sat and stayed there for awhile. Now.....I find myself going back and forth between 99, 103, and 121/23.

If I am not mistaken, didn't the same thing happen to you on your ku setup? :) Started stationary and then motorized? Or I am thinking of someone else....

Well, I would go bigger, but, my HOA prohibits anything but "small" dishes. So the 6 footer will have to be "portable" and hidden behind my house :) I have 2 Primestars, an 80cm and a Dish 1000 in and around my yard now :)

My daughter just called me from home and informed me my new c-band receiver showed up! So, now to swap out the univ lnb for a standard and hook up the new receiver! I assume I just run a jumper from my Fortec to the lnb input on the analog receiver? Anything else I need to know? I am anxious to try this out!

slave out of your Fortec and into your new analog box. Then analog box into TV.
Let us know how it goes. I might buy one of those just in case the old TRX-1520 dies.

Man, this thing is BIG and HEAVY! So I slave this receiver, then do I set the analog receiver to whatever satellite the Fortec is on? ANy tips on a satellite that has Ku analog? THANKS!

The TP was posted (AMC2 TP24)

What I do since its slaved is make 2 satellites. They're probably old in the list so I use Galaxy 7 & SBS6..I do this on the Toshiba TRX1420

Most KU satellites are 20k steps for each channel (11720, 11740, 11760, etc) so the only difference is polarity. Since the Fortec is running the polarity you only need one satellite for 99% of the KU sats.

SBS6 is the oddball from the frequencies to only 19 channels. Only use SBS6 for....yep...SBS6 :)

Yep....mine is a little different. I can only get it to 16 tps or 32 for the KU side. Cband is fine. So for me, its tp 32 with some fine tuning :)
