I have a question about my AM21 (not a worry, but a curiosity question)

I notice that when I have both my pre-amp and the distribution amp connected to my antenna that most of my major locals come in here in Rochester, MN but the low powered 3ABN stations (K25NKD) and the slightly further away PBS stations (KYIN) don't come in very well but come in perfect when my antenna doesn't have the distribution amp connected to it. They always come in fine directly to my TV and to my TiVo Roamio (with or without my distribution amp). I have the distribution amp hooked up for it slightly helps on distant channels when I rotate it, so I won't disconnect it. Those stations not working on the AM21 when the distribution amp is hooked up is not a problem (I change inputs for stations not programmed into my AM21 anyways), but I'm wondering why it does it only on the AM21 and not on the TV or the TiVo Roamio?

More than likely, the TV and Tivo have a better OTA tuner in it.
